ADK's And Item Decay

ADK's will not be coming back.
IMHO and personally speaking? I'm glad. Earning rewards, finding new items that were better than the last ones and turning the old "favorites" into trophies is a lot of fun.
When you don't need to replace an item, you lose the thrill of find a new item that's really useful.
When you make an item invulnerable, you kill the cycle.
We'll be seeing some more information on decay rates and I don't expect them to be as high as they were before.

For you guys who have Mando...RIS or BH armor then TH? Or the old republic saber hilt? How are quest reward and loot drops off of bosses going to be affected by decay?
I'm sure we'll be seeing some more information on decay rates and I don't expect them to be as high as they were before.
The Mandalorian Armor is a good example to bring up. I'll mention that.

Well if they are doing this, then they need to make all current items at 100% condition.

Agreed...
I have mixed feelings about the whole item decay thing.
On the one hand... I am a huge activist for promoting traders... and the NEED for them, which item decay definatly did present.
On ther other... Some rare items are almost irreplacable. Not to mention it is unfair to have a different set of stats on my armour every couple of weeks/months.
SOMETHING needs to be done though to make traders more usefull.

It's hard to say that items that are irreplaceable should not have decay. If it is so priceless to you, then you shouldn't use it. And if you do use it, you do so at your own risk. Of course, that all goes along with saying that items should decay with use rather than over time.
Decay is one of those necessary evils. Traders need it, but other peeps don't want it.

And they REALLY need to get rid of FP cost for faction armor... it is just stupid.

Yes, also if there is decay, they need to get rid of faction costs for bio-linking faction armor.
If items decay, they need to find a way to devalue items so you can buy them in bulk from traders.
I'm still against decay for rare items though. Sorry Kurke hehe

Its easy to farm, also easy to delegate if you are Colonel. My problem was transferring it from Szul(Col.) to Snikool(Col.) to TX-OneOneFour(Private) because you can't delegate to LD characters like you can transfer credits or buff. (well old buff system, how we used to buff our Jedi slots)
Weapons Facility on Talus. SW of 16th's hometown, Imperium Arx?, is a great place to farm faction, takes a couple hours for 10k if you ignore looting corpses and leaving to visit a Junk Dealer every 30m or so.

Hey, I'm all for no decay rate on rare items if the items aren't useable. If they are useable and they don't decay, you'll have people with uber weaons that will never go away. At least with decay on rare items, that peerson will one day lose their uber item and be brought back down with the rest of us.
Of course, if crafted items are always better quality than rare items, I have no problem with no decay rate on rare items.

I'd rather they just not go with uber items. The Legendary Weapons and uber craft accessory loot drops all but ruined the original game. I'd prefer rare and unique, rather than rare and powerful.
Decay? I agree. If you use it, you should have a chance to lose it via wearing it out.

I'm with you. I remember that crafters were supposed to be able to craft the best items, but somewhere along the line, that idea went out the window. Seems like people were always out looking for uber loot rather than hitting up crafters. I mean, it's one thing to find cool thigns that make the Star Wars world special, but the uber loot ruined things.
Of course, without uber loot, why participate in PvE? The devs never really explored any options except more credits and uber loot. Imagine what could have been if they would have gotten creative.

I agree with Kurke that it is neccessary, even though unwelcomed. I don't like having to get new items, but traders need this. And think about it, were traders and players better off with or without decay?

Without decay, half of the game is meaningless. All the way from traders/crafters all the way down to the credits you earn.

I don't understand how people are earning money anymore.... from what I hear it's all on selling loot.. which I think is completely dumb. Us combatants were always supposed to do missions for money... perhaps a quest that paid quite well. As well ther ewas loot, and yes, once in a while I want to sell my loot for a lot of money. But that shouldn't be the ONLY source of income. The economy is more inflated than when money missions and sologroups were around... at least I enjoyed those.
