A look into Chapter 6

Post by Lexx Yovel » Thu Mar 01, 2007 4:46 pm

Well fortunately looks like Creature Handler is returning, as well as some content. Unfortunately no house clean up or anything TOO fancy but still looks like something interesting: http://forums.station.sony.com/swg/post ... _id=264445

I'm a bit scared of a house clean up, knowing the devs they might delete ALL houses...

Update: in the chapter outline thread, one of the red names have mentioned that the house cleanup will be implemented in chapter 6 but it will take about another month for us to start seeing it happen due to having to warn all the players who don't play anymore.

Hehehe, warn the players who don't play anymore.

Anyone else think that's funny?

well, then, I guess "warn" was a bit too strong for some peeps. I meant "to let the players who do not play anymore know that their houses will be packed up if they do not log on within a month"

and yes, I meant they would e-mail you.

I'm just wondering what happens to homes that are owned by inactive peeps, but ran by active admins... I mean the RID mall is owned by Chardath, and I haven't seen him for like a year. We can't transfer the mall without Chardath's consent. As long as we technically maintain and use the mall, will it be okay?

A house packup is MUCH needed, but the devs need to think, and not mess things up. Even if many, if not all homes are packed, it'd greatly help the game.

I actually read a post by a red name that said it doesn't matter who's on the admin list - the owner of the structure is the account they go by. So the RID mall will msot likely be affected. Then again, they might do one of those kinds of things they were thinking about with players calling in "bomber strikes" on the houses that would pack them up. Therefore, if a player didn't actually carry out that task, the RID mall would be, theoretically, safe. If we keep players away from it. If not, we could always just take all the stuff we can out of that building and rebuild it using someone else's lots once the building gets packed up. I'll be willing to re-decorate it, but I don't think either of my characters has enough lots to actually place the building though.

I just wish the devs would allow admined people to "takeover" the houses lots. I mean its not like an inactive person can exactly transfer it to us. If it ever gets flagged, we're clearing it out asap. I wouldn't take the risk of leaving anything in it if it's flagged. It's no big deal really... at least I can have my alt place a new one after.

I just realized that, if they actually delete houses that have been unused for a year, alot of people will be pissed about their bunkers if they ever come back.

Yes... although it is a needed change. As long as their send e-mails to the owners, there is not much else that can be done. In the end it benefits the active users, who matter more than people who haven't been active for over a year :P

With that said; however, I will make an exception for Dragonus and try to save his bunker :D
