Governors for regions

Right now, I am thinking of an idea for governors of certain regions. For example, Fort Oasis is withen a region called the Mospic High Range. I am thinking of an idea in which we could appoint governors to take care of each region. What the governor would do is ensure that there are Imperial bases in his particular region, and would asess any Rebel bases that would lie in his region.

Doing this would allow certain designated people to take care of their own sections of the planets, to verify any Rebel activity. This would allow things to work efficiently, so no one person has to scan the entire planet. For example, say I'm the governor of the Mospic High Range; it will be my job to scan the current Imperial base and Rebel base status in our section.

If you click on the picture above, you'll see that I outlined the boundaries of the Mospic High Range red. You may also notice a blue line. The only section in which we have bases, is below the blue line. Above the blue line we have no bases. Just as an example, it would be my job to ensure placement of Imperial bases all throught the region.

Now lets pretend Sparta is apart of our Network. Sparta would appoint a governor for the Lowland Basin (seeing how thats the region it is in), and he would take care of his region of the planet. The red outline below shows what that particular governor would take care of.

Besides RP value, this idea may help keep it easier to watch over any Rebel activity on a particular planet. It would allow you to scan for any Rebel activity in a smaller region, and allows you to place bases withen those confines.

i think this is an excellent idea! Not only would it be great for Tatooine but also important other planets like Corellia and Naboo! I think you should talk to Cairne about this idea.

Thanks for your feedback. Fortunately Cairne is back from his vacation. I think I'll speak to him about getting access to the Network forums (few people can get access to it, and they are considering us). If we get access to those forums, it may be easier to get some ideas across.

To be honest, Cairne does do a lot of work, he just keeps silent in public I geuss hehe. Today I had a meeting with him.

As for who will be chosen governors, if there is no city in a particular region that is in the Network, then we have somone place a base, house, or hall in that certain region as a sort of HQ.
