As many of you know, the new RID Uniforms are in stock depending on designated rank and division. Some members have collected their uniforms for a fee of just 1000 credits, but I wanted to spread the word here.
The uniforms are the following:
Leader: Vested-jacket uniform (Derived from Surface Marshall NPC's)
Commanders: Black Standard Imperial Uniform (Inspired from the off-duty Storm Trooper Uniform)
Infantry: Grey Standard Imperial Uniform (Derived from recruiters)
Combat Support: White shirt and pants; a doctor-like appearance.
Crafting: White jumpsuit and belt. (Derived from New Recruit NPC's)
It is required that all RID's obtain a uniform depending on their division or rank. If you do not yet have one, contact me and you will recieve one for 1000 credits.

great news lexx! uniforms will give us a nice organized look.
a word for infantry members: these uniforms are for non-combat events such as parties, parades and social gatherings. for combat events i would like us all to have comp armor with a set color scheme. i realize comp armor may be too expensive for some of you right now but its something to think about (and start saving for). perhaps i can find a good armor smith to make us comp armor at a discount. we'll see what happens.

Don't forget to give Zrinity credit for makin those uniforms for ya
As for an armorsmith, I might be able to help you. We have someone in DM working on AS and she is probably about halfway thru the profession (not sure though). I know she is looking for a steady income once she masters and would be glad to help you out as soon as she is ready. Her name is Aslyn and don't be afraid to send her a tell.

I think the color codes will go as this:
Leader: All black armor with bright red left, and right biceps, and bracers.
Commanders: All blak armor with *only* their right bracers and biceps with a bright red color.
Infantry: Completely black. No special colors.
As we move down the list, we go to Combat Supporter and Crafting Division. These divisions (at least the Crafting one in most cases), rarely fight accept in emergencies. Although Combat Supporter varies. You may find Doctors fit for fighting, and they especially need to help soldiers on the field. I came up with color coding for them too as well.
Combat Supporter: Full dark blue suit.
Crafters: Full dark green suit.
What do you guys think?

but i mean, technically no one can be part of two divisions at once... so what is the purpose of crafting comp armor?

Yeah, your free to come up with some ideas Bizob
As for Composite armor for Crafters... well surely if the base in Fort Oasis is attacked, non-combatants can go into "militia stance" and at least try and fight. Its more of an emergency procedure. Standard events do not call for Crafters to fight, but it wouldn't hurt to be prepared. What if your in a guild war? Crafters could be vulnerable, and would need means to protect themselves. It's more of a concept so far really, it's not set into stone.

You're kidding right???? you really expect someone with full crafting profs to fight TKMs, Riflemen, BH's, etc???? lol lexx, come on i know you have more sense than that. even when i saw a rebel in Fort Oasis, i wouldnt risk my neck when i am full crafting. its suicide. plus, dont you need buffs to wear full comp?

Hehe, Kurke, my former Crafting Commander. Sure, *full* crafters would get slaughtered. I know I dont fight if the odds are against me. However, there are always crafters who would have armorsmith for example, and can have decent skills in a combat proffesion. Although this person may be in the Crafting division, he can decide whether or not to fight if it endangers the guild. Plus imagine a crafter with one branch in marksman. Sure he would be slaughtered 5 to 1, but if he had some friends along, he'd at least add to the firepower... heck, how about a decoy anyone?
And who says it's just for PvP? Surely there are some crafters who'd come along on Fort Tusken raids or Squill Hunts. The armors more for looks, after all, in my original message I said that Crafters and some members of the Combat Support would not be fit for combat. But you never know. I simply put that composite armor color mainly to imply that if a crafter ever does wear composite armor for whatever reason, it should be green. But all in all, they should wear their standard uniform.
As for armor only being wearable buffed, it depends on the encumberance. However most of the time you need to be buffed to wear it, but no one says you cant wear like two pieces.

Just seems like a waste of armor and money when you have crafters who aren't experienced in combat.

Eh...should I just give up now, rofl? Besides, I know I wont be one to waste money. The members will pay for their own armor and simply color it. I am simply stating that in *any* event whatsoever, if a crafter ever has one minute of wearing composite armor for looks, hunting, PvP, protection, that it should be green. Simply put, in the event a crafter ever wears composite armor for any bizaare reason whatsoever, it should be green. I'm not starting a mass production of green armor for crafters. Surely you pulled the trigger at least once on somone, havn't you Kurke
