Yes, and suffered a quick and painless death. Anyways, why don't you go with one color scheme for the whole guild?

Lol. Okay, how about only different colors for the leader and commanders. Everyone else gets the same :P

just thought of something...
in battle we really dont want the leaders sticking out like sore thumbs do we? so why dont we just have a single color scheme for all in battle regardless of division or rank. i like all red except for boots, gloves and chestplate, which are white (my current comp armor color scheme). or all black would be cool.

Yeah, what Biz said. That is something we are aiming for in DM once Aslyn masters Armorsmith. We want matching colors across the board. I think our color scheme is going to be either all black with silver bracer or all silver with black bracer... Not sure though, I think Nekip is doing some color tests and is planning on posting some pics on our forums soon.

Heh, true. That is a good arguement. If the enemy does recognize the color schemes, they would most likely go for the leader first. all Red and black boots and gloves maybe or somthing?

I was thinking the same thing biz was. In most mmorpgs, guild armor color is constant for everyone so that people can just glance on you and say, "oooo that's an RID, I wish I was that cool"

Yeah, I remeber I could recognize CFM's without even seeing their title due to their distinctive colors. Things like that would be a nice touch for RID.

Standardized uniforms would be a great idea if it could work

A universal RID uniform would probably be better than multiple RID uniforms for specific divisions. We could maybe make an exception for Commanders and Captains (who get more distinct uniforms), but standard members could get identical clothing.

Problem is I'd like everyone to wear these uniforms in combat, but that's tricky since you normally need armor. I suppose when the armor certifications are dropped, we can make uniforms with armor mixed in it.

We could also make it a requirement to wear the uniform all of Friday, Saturday, and Sunday. The rest of the week they could choose to wear the RID uniforms or wear something else.

That would be a tricky one to enforce...

Identical uniforms for all guild members is the only way to go. Doing it this way increases the chances of someone outside the guild recognizing a RID member. Having different uniforms for divisions or commanders/captains will only confuse those in and out of RID. If you want to recognize ranks within the guild, simply create a standard guild uniform and issue different color arm bands/shoulder pads depending on rank. Commander is one color, captain is another color, and Lexx is his own color. Doing it this way creates a common uniform that everyone can recognize, but you get to indicate rank at the same time.

Yes... some sort of rank bandolier, or necklace, or something. As for enforcing the dress code... yes it is tricky, but I'd expect that RID will be willing to dress in the uniform most of the time, excluding times when they want to wear armor in combat. That's the problem.

I think a good idea would be to have a non-combat uniform and a combat uniform. I want the guild to look as Imperial as possible in combat, so maybe RID's could wear Storm/Scout/or Shocktrooper armor, *with* a red/black shoulder pad (which could be a padded armor bicep).

I have been wearing my shock armor with a black arm pad since level 22, it looks real nice. But I really dont like the idea of not getting to pick what I want to wear in combat.... But ill wear whatever you want when im out of combat.
