Are see i did knot know that lol so most citys with fort first must be RID'S lol.

Our main city is Fort Oasis, Tatooine. Our other two are level 2 cities (still growing) named Fort Ironwolf, Tatooine and Fort Mirage, Lok.

I'd have no problem helping Vall from time to time, since hes a good leader, but we should improve what we have (Fort Ironwolf, and Fort Mirage). And Kurke's right, growing steadily is the best way to go, and it's actually very proffesional to be just recruiting RID's into Fort Mirage. Merging with large groups can be pretty risky, disputes can go on. However, with Fort Oasis, I may recruit a few odd Imperials here and there that are unguilded or in different guilds, so that never hurts. When it gets to the point recruiting new RID recruits is becoming difficult, recruiting un-guilded Imperials is the best step. They'll become citizens, and perhaps consider joining RID in the future.

As long as it is an Imperial guild an city, I would have no problem pacing up and moving my empty house.

Here's how I look at it. If they sent you a tell and made the suggestion, then they should be the ones willing to make the adjustments, not RID. I get greatly annoyed when people from some other guild send you a tell asking you to merge or form an alliance or share a city and then expect you to make all the changes. I'm sorry, but if you're the ones with the desire to do any of that, you change not us.

Mirage will live on with or without the other group as long as those in charge of Mirage remain vigilant. Sometiems it is better to have slow, but steady growth rather than an instant boost. And in this case, that instant boost could be an instant exodus if the other group decides to suddenly withdraw their support from the city.

fort mirage

by sajuuk »Fri Aug 12, 2005 9:27 pm

well fort mirage is comin along thought to make it all RID it gonna be perty tough with ironwolf and mirage its kinda like a tug o war over who gets the new guys in guild lol atm fort mirage is 2k m away from lateris and still needs to bpretty much double its pop b4 we can make it succesfull...though we seem to be doing rather well

though lexx and others are right we dont wanna forget about fort ironwolf on tatooine which i belive should be our 1st priorty since erich has been in guild longer and tatooine is our maine base of operations

Now i got a tell from vall the toher day talkin bout his guild wishing to join up with our city...it was either they come to us or we go to them if we combined we wud have a shuttle instant wammo but the dispute was whos goes were

for valls guild which i dont recall the (imperial galaxia) sotnhin of that sort was there and they are estab thier 3rd city i believe...so its iether keep mirage were it is ofr join with the others and make it instant shuttle/metropolis or keep it steady as is and though the town would not be under RID control....just some food for thoughtNE insight that yall got would be great!

Like anyone actually listens to the spammers in C-net... lol

Ihave some respect for crafters I was once WS it was boring so I can respect something thta cost 25k to build to go for like 75k but 250-300 we should go around yelling that in cnet letting people know they're getting ripped off.

I agree, some crafters are way overpriced and people are stupid enough to pay for it. You do have to remember though, you have to make a profit. Back when I was a crafter, I charged roughly 3-5cpu for whatever I made (depending on what I paid for resources, components, etc.).

Most crafters usually buy their resources and components and those costs can add up, especially when you are in need of high quality resources. What's sad is that most resources vendors think their sh!t don't stink and charge insane prices on resources. Not to mention that they offer resources by the 100k units and you don't have a choice about it. It was always so hard for me to find a decent resource vendor that charged no more than 3cpu for resources and had quntities of resources that I needed. (Believe me, I looked all over C-net and several other places and good vendors are hard to find) I mean, why would I want 100k units of some steel when I only need 20k (not to mention I can only afford 20k). It's like the wealthy feeding the wealthy when it comes to resource vending...

In all honesty, most cost for items comes from resources. I tried to stick to harvesting my own when I could so I could keep prices down, but it's hard to do it all. So yeah, if you are harvesting your own resources, I can see where it only costs you (as a crafter) 25k credits to build a guild hall, but if you have to go purchase resources, it adds up quickly. There have been several times when I actually didn't make much due to just manufacturing costs.

Sometimes the costs are justified, sometimes they aren't. But it is the customers who dictate the prices.

actualy crafters exploit alot of people, I have repsect for the fair priced ones, but not the ones that charge way to much. Like my friend with a crafter alt told me guild halls cost about 25k to make, they go for 250-350k...
